Oktoberfest is the world’s largest Folk Festival (beer festival and traveling funfair). Held annually in Munich, Bavaria, Germany it attracts more than six million people from around the world every year. During the event, large quantities of Oktoberfest Beer are consumed: in 2013, for example, 7.7 million litres of beer was served in this 16 days long event. The amount of beer drunk at Oktoberfest could fill more than three Olympic-sized swimming pools.

Since it is the largest folk festival means for all the folks, there are activities and features attracting people from all age groups, children, teenagers, adults alike. Actually the whole city of Munich emanates a special vibe during this event. Visitors also enjoy numerous attractions, such as amusement rides, musical performances, side-stalls, and games. There is also a wide variety of traditional foods available. Naturally, the usual tourist attractions of Munich are already interesting enough to visit.

DEADLINE: 25 September. Seats are allotted in the order of payments received and they may get fully booked before the deadline. So don’t wait until the last moment to confirm your place in the trip.

*Our exact pick-up points for each location above are explained in the FAQ section on our website. The timings mentioned above may be slightly altered depending on the participants joining from each pick-up location. Final timings shall be intimated to the registered participants in advance via email. If there are less than 5 participants boarding from any location, you shall be asked to join from the nearest confirmed location a few days in advance of the trip departure date.

IMPORTANT DETAILS 

    1. Please note that this festival takes place for around 2 weeks only every year and this weekend shall be our only trip of this year. Those of you who want to join the trip only to visit the city and its attractions may also join. All participants shall be free after arrival there to roam around according to your own choices and preferences. Our tour leaders shall be guiding you through the main festival site and also provide useful tips to make the best out of the day. There is no entrance ticket for the festival locations.
    2. Check always your Spam as well as other folders to find our emails, especially Gmail users.
    3. Children below 3 years will be allotted a separate seat as per European regulations. Children above 3 years on the day of travel must pay full price.
    4. On Saturday morning we take a break to freshen up, change clothes, brush teeth etc and then the day is open for us for so many activities during the festival. Note that daily music closing time in Big Tents is 10:30 p.m. whereas for Small Tents – daily closing time for music and serving of beer is 11 p.m. We start our return journey from Munich at around 00:30hrs on Saturday night.
    5. Tentative return timings (on Sunday morning) : – Luxembourg 7 AM – Brussels (Evere) 9:30 AM – Brussels (North Station) 10:00 AM – Mechelen 10:30 AM – Antwerp 10:50 AM
