***** QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU BOOK A TRIP *****

  • Who can join the trips organized by See-EU ?

The trips organized by See-EU are open for everyone. Mostly, there is the larger chunk of participants from various parts of India, but we have had many participants from almost all parts of the world. Until now we have had participation by people from more than 90 countries in our past trips.

  • What is the legal status of See-EU ?

It is very important that you book your trips with a company that is recognized and fulfils all the legal obligations under various European legislations for tour & travel companies. See-EU is an initiative of See-Globe BVBA and is a recognized tour operator company in Europe with it’s registration number 9613 and VAT number BE0680852007. Since our company takes utmost care of the interests of our beloved guests, we are also insured against insolvency plus all our journeys are protected under accidental insurance of each passenger.

  • What are the terms and conditions of joining See-EU trips?

When you are booking for our trips, it is mandatory that you accept our ‘terms and conditions’ which are mentioned at the following link > TERMS & CONDITIONS. Also, don’t forget to read our baggage & other regulations. Click here > BUS REGULATIONS

  • How can I register for a trip ?

Registering for any of our trips is very easy. Just select different options from the drop-down menu of each trip to choose the age, boarding location etc for each participant and click on ‘Add to Cart’. When you have added all the participants in your group then click on ‘View Cart’ and follow the instructions. After you checkout, your booking order number shall be generated and an automatic email shall also be instantly sent to the email ID provided by you (check your spam if you do not find this email in your normal Inbox). Note that we have not implemented online payment gateway yet. Hence, after placing your booking on our website, you shall be required to send the booking amount by bank transfer to our bank account. WARNING : If you click on the button PROCEED TO PAYMENT, your seats for the trip in subject shall be definitively booked so if you are unsure about your booking, do not press this button otherwise you shall be liable to pay the booking amount even if you do not want to join the trip.

  • How can I pay if I do not have a local bank account ?

We are coming up soon with online direct payment on our website. At the moment, there are five possibilities. One, you may pay the amount to any of your friends or colleagues having any European bank account, ask him/her to make the payment on your behalf and send us the screenshot of it. Two, you may go to any nearest post office with our bank account details mentioned on ‘bank transfer’ option of payment and the payable amount and ask them to put that amount on our account. This may incur some charges and they may also deny putting large amounts. Please check with them what is the maximum that you may put at once and make different transactions. Three, you may click here and use ‘Wise’ or click here and use ‘XE’ (Download the Xe app on your phone by clicking on the link provided here. Use our promo code XEREF-JRMI4F2N when making your first transfer and get a 25€ Gift Card for free) and make the money transfer to our account. Four, you can send us an email if you want to pay using PayPal with your credit or Forex or non-European cards. PayPal service charges shall be charged extra on the top of the trip amount. Five, you may visit our office in Gent to pay in cash. Six, if one of our buses is passing through your city for some other trip prior to your own trip, you may inform us & come to our bus to pay to our Tour Manager/s. Note that after placing the booking order, you will be obliged to pay and in the lack of payment appropriate legal action may be taken to recover the whole due amount + 8% interest on the amount + costs incurred on recovery proceedings. NOTE that you must make the payment in advance of the trip and not during the trip itself.

  • What are the bank account details of See-EU ?

Bank Account Number (IBAN): BE87 3630 7099 9794
Account holder/Beneficiary Name: See-Globe BVBA (if your bank requires First Name – See Globe and Last Name – BVBA)
Name of Bank: ING
Swift/BIC code: BBRUBEBB
Address: Terneuzenlaan 38, 9000 Gent (Belgium)

  • Can I pay on the day of journey itself on the bus ?

We strongly discourage this practice due to several reasons. Hence, please pay in advance and do not postpone it until the last moment. Note that after placing the booking order, you will be obliged to pay and in the lack of payment appropriate legal action may be taken to recover the whole due amount + 8% interest on the amount + costs incurred on recovery proceedings.

  • Should I place a booking if I am not sure of joining yet ?

Certainly not ! Note that once you place a booking order with us, you become liable to pay the whole amount even if you are joining or not. So do not place a booking order until you are sure of joining and also ready to make the bank transfer within 48 hours of your booking.

  • When do I get confirmation and other details about my booking for a trip ?

When you place a booking, your seats are already blocked by our automatic reservation system, but you get the confirmation only after bank transfer is credited to our account.  In Europe, sometimes it takes 1-2 working days for a bank transfer to be credited to the beneficiary if the banks of both parties are different. Therefore, please allow us 1-2 days time after your bank transfer to process your confirmations. If you wish to have quicker confirmation from our side, please send us the screenshot of your booking by email or WhatsApp (details at the bottom of our website). If the trip is starting in less than 5 working days, please send us the screenshot of your bank transfer right away.

  • What is the price and other rules about children ?

According to the EU regulations, each participant is required to have one seat in a bus even if it is a one day old infant. Therefore, for each trip, every individual is given a separate seat. Unless otherwise mentioned in the trip details, children below 3 years of age on the date of travel pay half price of the usual price for a trip. With this half ticket, the child gets a seat in the bus but no separate bed if there is overnight stay involved for a trip whereas full ticket entitles the child to get both a separate seat and bed during the trip. Note that See-EU Tour Manager may ask for a date of birth proof, if necessary. Note that you may take baby strollers in all of our trips without any extra cost and that you do not need to bring any special baby seat or car seat.

  • How can I reserve a separate room during the stay ?

We reserve rooms on a shared basis & in each of our trip info page’s section named “IMPORTANT DETAILS” it is clearly mentioned that shared rooms will be with a certain number of persons (above the age of 3 years usually) during that specific trip itself. Depending on the destinations and our partner hotel’s offers, our shared rooms may differ from 3 to 6 persons per room with attached bathroom & toilet for each room itself. You can always reserve a separate room with some additional charges. If you need a separate room just for one person, simply choose the ‘separate room’ option while booking. If you need a separate room as a couple or as a family together, then just put one person in your booking with ‘Separate room’ option and add to cart… then choose the remaining passenger/s with ‘shared’ room option and add them to cart. If you are booking more than one separate room in the same booking, please mention about your requirement in the NOTES section provided on our booking order form. Note that the properties where we stay do not have too many separate rooms available so ideal is to register ASAP. We strongly suggest that if you are family or desire total privacy, ideal is to book a separate room.

  • Can I do a pre-booking for a trip that is yet not announced on the website ?

You may contact us by email at See-EU@live.be for pre-booking of certain finalized but yet not announced trip. Mention clearly the dates and name of the trip you are intending to book and also total number, age and city of boarding of all participants.  However, you may have to pay some extra charges for any such pre-booked trips. We shall inform you about the extra charges in response to your email.

  • Whether the announced departure timings and locations may be altered or annulled by See-EU ?

The departure timings that we announce on trip pages takes all the pick-up points into account while calculating those timings. However, if there is nobody boarding from one of our pre-announced pick-up points, that naturally affects the pre-announced timings and our team makes necessary changes in timings accordingly. Even if on the website pre-announced timings stay visible always, registered participants of any trip are asked to check and follow the final pick-up timings intimated to them via e-mail in advance of the trip. Therefore, the timings mentioned in our ‘Useful Information’ e-mail sent to all registered participants supersedes the pre-announced timings on our website in such scenarios.

  • What if I am joining from a different city than the boarding points ?

You may go to the nearest boarding points announced for your specific trip. Please read the details of your nearest boarding point above.

  • What is the criteria of adding additional boarding point for a trip ?

Please note that we have to follow several driving hours regulations and plan our iteneraries accordingly. We allot one boarding point in each city. Two conditions need to be fulfilled in order to add an extra city for boarding. One, there are more than 10 participants from your location. Two, the requested extra location is on the route of the trip’s destination. If your requested extra pick-up location is off-route but driving regulations permit us to add it still, you may have to bear some extra cost for such extra time/Kms that we need to drive for you. You may always contact us with your request and our team shall advise you about the feasibility and the costs thereof.

  • What are the rules on cancellation ?

Since there are always a number of people on the waiting list for various trips, we discourage any last-minute cancellation. You must understand that organizing a trip needs planning, payments, booking of rooms, transport etc well in advance. If you want to cancel your reservation, just inform us by e-mail about it. If you cancel your reservation at least 7 working days before the actual departure day of a trip, we will refund the amount (-20% administrative charges) only if your place is taken by someone else. If you cancel your reservation more than 10 days before the actual departure date of the trip, a fixed amount of 10€ pp (for a one day trip) or 20€ pp (for trips with longer than one day duration) shall be deducted from the refund amount as administrative charges. And that there will be no refund of the amount if you cancel your reservation when the trip is departing in less than 7 working days time or if your place/s remain vacant and not taken by anyone else. We cannot adjust the amount for any other trips either since it would practically mean cancellation of your current booking. On the other hand, if we cancel a trip due to less number of participants or any other unavoidable reason, the total amount shall be refunded to you without deducting any charges.

  • Can I shift the amount or date of my trip to another trip ?

For weekend trips, it is not possible to shift your amount or date to another trip to same or different destination since it involves hotel, ticket, other bookings etc and we may not cancel those arrangements once you already booked for that trip. However, if it is a one day trip and the same or different one day trip is organized on same or different date, you may switch your booking to a different trip by paying 5 euro extra surcharge per person (including children). Please note that in case of no show on the day itself and then asking for using your amount for another trip is not possible. Similarly, making any such shift when it is less than 5 days time to the departure of your original trip is also not possible. So any such request of shifting should come at least more than 5 days in advance of your original trip and can be facilitated by paying 5 euro extra surcharge per person as mentioned above.

  • Can I shift my booking to other persons ?

For any changes in the participants names you would need to pay 5 euro extra surcharge per booking (not per person). Please note that each time you ask for changes, you would be charges this extra amount so please pay attention while asking for such changes and make all changes in one go.

***** QUESTIONS ABOUT THE JOURNEY & TRIP FACILITIES *****

  • How are the seats allotted to participants ?

Since for almost all our trips we receive multiple requests from guests to allot them front row seats due to various reasons e.g. in almost every trip a few requests citing motion sickness or accompanying children whereas we have many children in each of our trips usually. Moreover, we cannot allot front rows for everyone and leave the back rows empty. Hence, in order to keep our seats distribution justified without discrimination towards any of our guests, we allocate our seats in the order of payments received for bookings. Therefore, if you wish to have seat in the front rows of the bus, you must book+pay for a trip quickly. We make an exception though when someone provides a valid medical attest stating the need of specific seats during the journey. You may of course exchange your seat with mutual consent with other guests. If some guests really wish to have guaranteed specific seats of their choice, they may write us an email to enquire about the availability of those seats. Upon confirmation, they would be required to pay 15€ extra for each requested seat.

  • How long is the journey ?

For our one day trips, we have to follow several European driving hours regulations for our drivers and therefore plan our itinerary in such a manner that you have more than ‘normal’ visit time at any destination. Since violation of any of those regulations shall result in heavy penalties to our company, we cannot take any risk and follow the timings very strictly especially during the one day trips. Hence, we usually go directly to the destination without any breaks unless the journey is longer than 4 hours (more than 400kms). In that case, we take a break on the way and continue further. For our overnight trips, we plan the itinerary in such a way that in normal circumstances we reach our destination somewhere between 9 and 12 AM next day so that we can have the whole day for us to visit the city. We suggest you to check google maps for directions from our last pick-up point for any trip to the city of arrival by road. You will see the distance in kilometers there. You can roughly calculate the journey time using the following formula: 100kms per hour + 2-3 breaks of about 20 minutes each on the way. This will indicate tentative journey time for a specific trip.

  • How is the accommodation facility provided during the trips ?

The accommodation is usually provided on a shared basis. Most of the times we reserve rooms with 4-6 participants per room. This combination may however be different also. Note that the rooms are always with attached WC/showers in each room. While allotting the rooms to the participants, See-EU Tour Manager always considers the factors like gender combinations, family combinations and group combinations in mind so that the most convenient allotment of rooms is done. You may always inform us if you would like to share the rooms with specific participants. Unless it does not really disturb the whole allotment plan, See-EU Tour Manager always considers it.

  • Do we get our rooms immediately after our arrival ?

We plan our itinerary in a way that we arrive in the morning hours at our destination in order to visit places during that day. Note that the usual check-in hours everywhere in Europe are between 2 and 3 PM and check-out time is between 10 and 12 AM. After the previous guests check-out, the staff has to clean and prepare all the rooms for next guests. We always inform the hotels about our expected arrival timing and our preference to have early check-in. However, it is possible only if the rooms are vacated by the visitors from the night before and are cleaned/prepared for us. If this is not the case, we either drop the luggage in the locker room of the hotel, use public utilities to freshen up and leave to visit the tourist places planned for the day or we plan the itinerary in a way that we take a break somewhere to use public utilities to freshen up, visit some attractions and only thereafter arrive at the hotel in the evening. Please note that using public utilities either at the hotel or on the way means you can brush your teath, wash your face, change clothes, use toilets etc. No shower is possible in this case.

  • Is food included in the price of the trips ?

You should always check in the trip description just under the price as to what is included in the price. Anything which is not mentioned there is naturally not included. We mostly offer light refreshment on board during the first morning after departure (not during one-day trips) which usually includes juice and a cake. Apart from that, we do not offer any food during the trips. Some See-EU Tour Managers though arrange for dinner or lunch at some local Indian restaurants which you can join. During the journey, participants can utilise the elaborate menu of our on-board shop which offers practically everything you might need during a trip including many hot and cold drinks, snacks, chocolates, domestic items and ready to eat hot Indian meals (both veg & non-veg) served to you on reasonable price. Note that we cannot heat your food on the bus and strongly recommend to utilize our economic and efficient services on board. Our TMs can also give you recommendations for food points during the lunch/dinner breaks. Also note that no hotels in Europe provide any kitchen to their guests to cook their own food. Note that it is only youth hostels (not hotels) that there are such shared kitchens with utensils etc. Knowing the expectations and habits of our lovely Indian guests, we stay primarily in hotels and not in dormitory rooms where you all have to go to shared bathrooms and toilets outside of your own rooms.

  • What facilities do I get in the bus ?

We always take a comfortable bus which is equipped with air-conditioner, WC, DVD Player facilities. The seats are semi-sleeping class with reclining seats which are comparable with the economy class flight seats that you can recline backwards in order to sleep. For your comfort we also have an on-board See-EU shop where you can many hot and cold drinks, snacks, chocolates, domestic and ready to eat hot meals (mainly Indian) on reasonable price.

  • Does our bus take us around to various attractions?

No. Unless specifically mentioned in the trip details. We use the local public transport several times in order to make the group travel easier and economical and the cost is borne by the participants themselves. Participants should be fit to follow the group while roaming around at the destination.

  • Who pays the tickets of monuments, cable cars etc. during a trip ?

All the entry tickets to monuments, museums, cable cars, other attractions are borne by the participants unless specifically announced by us in the information about the trip. However, it has been our experience that the tickets cost lot cheaper if we buy them as a group altogether. So it is always a good deal to visit places with the group itself and avail those benefits. If we are not charging you already for the tickets on group rates, then you have to buy them yourself on the spot or online in advance, whatever the case may be as per the destination.

  • Is there a guided tour during the visit to cities ?

There is always a See-EU Tour Manager that accompanies each of our trips. We are not a tour and travel agency but a crowd sourced travel community being run by some volunteers. However, even if the tour leaders of See-EU are not tourist guides but they are well trained to manage a group travel as well as are equipped with information about all the main tourist attractions at the destination cities. For all our trips we plan a detailed itinerary to visit most of the tourist attractions and this itinerary is sent to registered participants 1-3 days in advance from the date of departure. Hence, when you go with us, the tour leader will take you around in a group to the most interesting tourist attractions. We would also make group reservations for different places to make it cheaper for everyone. If you would wish to visit the tourist attractions on your own, you will be free to do so. The See-EU Tour Manager will inform you about the meeting point and time in this case.

***** QUESTIONS ABOUT THE RETURN JOURNEY *****

  • Is it possible to drop me at a different point than the boarding point ?

No. Many times some participants ask us to drop them on the way back since it would be closer from their residence or office. Please note that we cannot do that and do not embarrass us by asking about it. Due to several driving regulations we cannot ask the driver to stop anywhere except the pre-decided boarding and drop-off points.

  • What if I forget some of my belongings in the bus ?

The bus is double-checked after all the passengers are gone, by us and by the bus company. So if anything is left in the bus by any passenger, either of us keeps it and you may always send us an e-mail to check about it and get it back. However, See-EU shall not be liable for any loss or theft of your belongings during your trips with us.

  • Can I propose to organize a trip ?

Yes. We always welcome suggestions to visit new places in Europe. So if you know some interesting places we can visit, do inform us. If you are a group consisting of a substantial number of people who wish to visit some place with See-EU, you may also contact us with your query and we would be glad to offer a corporate trip only for your group.

  • What if my question is not answered in FAQ ?

You can always write us at See-EU@live.be if your question is not answered here or if you have a suggestion to add more FAQs. Please do not write to ask questions which are clearly answered in FAQ. Only in case of emergencies, you may also call us at 0497 883 883. Please always write e-mail first if you have a question.

***** QUESTIONS ABOUT TICKETS SALE ONLY *****

  • Is it possible to return the unused tickets that we bought it from See-EU ?

No. Each E-ticket usually has a unique QR code or bar code which can be scanned only by the machines from that specific park or attraction. Since we at See-EU cannot check whether the tickets are used or not after they are issued to you, we cannot take them back from you either. You may transfer the tickets to your friends or colleagues who are willing to use them or you may ask the authorities of that specific park or attraction themselves. Just contact them and explain them that you bought some online tickets and some of them are unused and the procedure of how to return them.
