Weekend Trip to Salzburg & Hallstatt

Friday 24 – Monday 27 September 2021

(Note that next such trip might come next year only if any restrictions are imposed due to the next wave of COVID-19)

This end of summer, join us to visit the two dazzling cities of Austria. Salzburg literally “salt castle”, is the fourth-largest city in Austria with views of the Eastern Alps. The birthplace of  Mozart and perfect place to tour the historic palaces & fortresses of Austria and one of its kind the trick fountains combining it with a cable car trip to the Austrian Alps which give fierce competition to Swiss Alps. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996. Hallstatt is such an unbelievably spectacular place that even the Chinese have created a copy of the ancient salt mine village. Austria’s oldest and possibly most photographed area is something like a mirage in the Salzkammergut Lake Region. Hallstatt Salt World lies high above the town on the 1,030-meter-tall Salzburg (Salt Mountain) with 7 levels inside the mountain, wherein we go upto 4 levels deep and come out with the miner’s cart. Accessible by cable car or a three-minute journey aboard the funicular railway, it’s well worth visiting for the wonderful views from the Skywalk, a viewing platform extending over a sheer drop with Hallstatt 350 meters directly below.
